HADASSADOR

I have always wanted to become a designer since a young age. (Probably, the 2nd grade). What's funny is I never, seemed like the fashionista type. I was a fan of Elmo from Sesame Street, owned Digimon cards, collected Power Ranger action figures , and consistently felt like cutting hair from each of my barbie dolls. I think I thought I was hairstylist or just didn't like their hair. I don't know. But now I am 18 years old and branding myself. I choose to be an entrepreneur/designer. And my brand is entitled, HADASSADOR.

HADASSADOR, obviously originates from my name. I decided to do that because I want everyone to remember my name also its beneficial legally for any trademark or copyright issues. Who can claim my work or brand name if it's actually a part of my REAL name?

I decided to become a designer because I always loved drawing. I was an amazing artist and I loved he beauty of women and their different characters and style. I could see that through my sketches, then suddenly I started to develop my own style or aesthetic. I wanted to personify my sketches add a little bit of me, show who the artist was and I decided drawing people with clothing or accessories that I thought of my own and not what I saw in stores or in magazines/catalogs. And someone suggested to me, to learn my craft to sew and make my stuff come to life and be a designer. I didn't even know what sewing was or what designers could be and who they were I just appreciated drawing. However, I took up on that suggestion, applied for High School of Fashion Industries and began to expand myself as more than someone who draws or a designer but an artist.

Being that I want to brand myself as an artist/designer I have to take up the job as being an entrepreneur. Branding my craft and my trademark, I have to be professional, know how to network and promote myself. Its fun but difficult at the same, because I love what I'm doing and putting it out there for the world but as an artist you always hear the response of your audience. Some can be good and some can b e harsh but it molds me as a a character, artist and brand. At the end of the day, I love it all.

BLACKGLAMA

Debuting my first conceptual collection, entitled "BLACKGLAMA". The concept behind this collection was revolved around the common woman embracing her all natural self, seduction, darkness and grunge. I portrayed those characteristics through the colors and tones like burgundy, red, black, grey and a hint of gold to represent glamour. All these traits represent the persona of a BLACKGLAMA Woman.

Style Journal: ALL WHITE EVERTHING FUTURE

In the future, everything will be clean, neon, white, and slick. Most likely, parasitic functions will occur in the human body and time can't be counted on. I used modern day styles to apply to the future and the idea/concept I had in mind. This all involves a civilization that will be destoryed and different.
