I am Fashion

Welcome ALL Fashion Lovers:

I AM Fashion is where the streets of New York meets high fashion!

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
                                                                       -Coco Chanel

Attention New inspiring Fashion designer:
New inspiring designer:
M'Balu Turay was born and raised in East Harlem New York. She discovered her love for fashion when she attended her first wedding and could not stop starting at the brides dress. From that day M'Balu decided that she wanted to be a fashion designer and that is what she wanted to spend the rest of her life doing. So when it came time to pick a high school she knew she had to go to fashion industries in order to make her dreams come true. She plans on attending F.I.T in the fall and majoring in fashion design. M'Balu makes intimate apparel, spandex dress, prom dress and also bathing suits. She plans on starting her own clothing line once she gets established in F.I.T and learns how to make a variety of different types of clothing. But for now she just makes custom clothes for her customers. Look out M'Balu her name will be every where in a couple of years from now.

HAIR HAIR HAIR!!!
DAY 1: Prom day!! This hair style required no heat all I used was water and orange flexi rods. So basically I first part a section of my hair then I wet my brush. Then I brush the section of hair I parted with the wet brush then wrap it with the flexi rod. I had the flexi rods in for about 12 hours then took them out and was ready for prom.
DAY 2: This wavy look was very easy to get. All I did was 2 Bantu knots in my hair the day before. So basically I parted my hair down the middle into 2 sections. Then I combed one section then started to twist it into a bun and pined it. I did the same to the other side. Finally the next morning I just unscrewed the bun and used a wide tooth comb to comb out my hair.
DAY 3: This hair style was the most time consuming. So basically I let my flat iron heat up for 10 minutes before I started to use it on me. I started to section off my hair my little pieces and did the flat iro comb method. This is just having the comb in front of the flat iron while you straightening your hair. You will see this method give your hair more body.
DAY 4: It was raining so I didn't want to leave my hair down and let it get frizzy. So I just did 2 bantu knots with my hair and went about my day.
